Music has the power to stir the emotion and soothe the soul. Everyone, in some form or fashion, has that one song or tidbit of melody that can remind them of a certain place, a certain person or a certain time in their life.
I'm Jason Sparks, owner of Motions Entertainment. I have been providing professional mobile disc jockey entertainment in and around the metro Atlanta area for well over twenty years. Since I can remember, I have always had a love of music and people. This desire began a whirlwind adventure in 1992 when, just for fun, I became a DJ at a skating rink. Through a couple of chance meetings with the right people, I began my mobile one man band in 1994 and haven't looked back.
Over the past twenty or so years, I have performed at hundreds of events both large and small, from large corporate events to weddings, birthday parties, anniversaries, charity events, and more. In that time, I have grown to have a deep appreciation for the joy, fun and tender moments that I have had the privilege of both helping to create and be a part of.
The events of September 11, 2001 certainly gave all of us a cause to stop and put into perspective what was important in our lives. I was no exception. My next event wasn't until late October of that year, and I have to be honest, I wasn't sure if I was ready. I wasn't sure if anyone was ready to laugh, celebrate and enjoy. To my surprise, that event was a wonderful success. Allowing us all to see that in time we would be able to smile, laugh and celebrate life and love again. Everyone not only had a great time but there were noticeably more tender moments shared than usual.
Heading home that night I remember thinking how thankful and lucky I was to have this talent and ability to give some amount of joy and fun to other people even if its just for a little while. It reaffirmed what I sort of already knew. This is who I am and what I was meant to do. I look forward to the opportunity of being a part of the special moments and memories that you wish to create.
